A free solar consultation, with advice before anything is sold

The consultation is where we find out whether solar makes sense for you, and if so, what kind of system fits. There is no obligation to proceed.

What the consultation is for

Many people approach solar knowing only that they would like lower electricity bills. The consultation turns that into specifics: what your property can host, how much of what you generate you are likely to use, and what the system might cost in return.

We keep the conversation practical. We ask about how you use energy, look at the building, and explain the options in plain terms, including where solar might not be the best answer. If it is not right for you, we would rather say so now.

What the consultation covers

Feasibility review

Whether the roof, structure, orientation and shading are suitable, using photographs, satellite imagery and a site visit where needed.

Energy usage review

Looking at your electricity use across the day and year, from bills, smart meter data or commercial half-hourly data.

Design considerations

Options for system size, panel layout, inverter type, battery storage and EV charging.

Estimated generation

An estimate of annual generation for your location and roof, using recognised modelling methods, with the assumptions stated.

Tailored recommendation

A written summary of what we recommend, why, and what the alternatives are.

Questions on process and regulation

What to expect on planning, grid connection, insurance and timescales.

Benefits and practical considerations

Benefits

  • Free and without obligation, so you can decide at your own pace.
  • A recommendation based on your usage, not a standard package.
  • Realistic estimates with clear assumptions rather than headline promises.
  • A written summary you can keep or compare with other quotations.

Things to consider

  • The quality of the advice depends on the information you share, so have a recent electricity bill to hand.
  • Estimates are not guarantees. Actual generation and savings vary with weather, usage and tariffs.
  • Some projects need a site visit before a final price can be confirmed.
  • Planning, grid and building-regulation matters depend on your property and location.

How the consultation works

  1. Send your enquiry

Complete the form with a few details about your property and what you would like to achieve.

  2. We get in touch

We review your enquiry and contact you using the details you provided to arrange a conversation.

  3. Review and assess

We discuss usage and goals, and review the property remotely or on site.

  4. Written recommendation

You receive a summary and, if you wish to proceed, a quotation.

What to have ready

Electricity bills
A recent bill, or your annual usage in kWh, gives us a starting point. Smart meter data is even better.
Photographs of the roof
Pictures of each roof slope and your loft, consumer unit and meter help us assess the property.
Your goals
Lower bills, lower carbon, energy independence or preparing for an electric vehicle all shape the design.
Ownership and consents
If you rent, or a freeholder or lender is involved, their consent may be needed.
Planned changes
Extensions, re-roofing, a heat pump or an EV purchase can change what system suits you.
